Timeouts & warming up
tripster is in pre-beta. To keep it free, the servers that plan routes, find places, and fetch weather go to sleep when nobody's using them. The first request after a quiet spell has to wake them — which takes a few seconds and can occasionally time out. It's not your connection, and nothing is broken.
What it looks like
When a server is still waking up, you'll see a short notice like one of these.

Try againWhat to do
- Give it a moment. Wait about half a minute — the server is spinning up.
- Tap Try again on the screen (planning a trip also has the regenerate control). The second attempt almost always lands.
- No button on that screen? Pull down to refresh, or reload the page — the warmed-up server answers right away.
- Still stuck after a couple of minutes? That one's on us — wait a little longer and try once more.
