Show someone your plan without giving them your account, and — while you’re on the road — let them watch your dot move.
Share a trip
- On Trips (or inside a trip), open Share.
- Choose Share PDF for a printable copy, or Share link for a read-only web view. Copy the link and send it however you like.
Share a collection of places
In My Places, each collection card has Copy share link for a read-only view of its spots. Set the collection to Shared so the link works, or Public to surface the places to everyone. See My Places for the difference.
Broadcast your live location Premium
Sharing a trip by PDF or link (above) is free for everyone. The live location beacon — the moving dot friends can follow — is a premium feature.
- Open the trip you’re driving and turn on Share my live location.
- Allow location access when your browser asks. tripster posts your position every minute, and anyone holding that trip’s share link sees a live pin.
- Turn the toggle off to stop. Your last point also expires on its own a short while after you stop.
